....Dog Days of Summer

   Went to the Dr on Monsday. Turns out I did have a sinus infection. He gave me pills and thank heaven above I'm more myself and not the half depressed/half angry slog I'd become. In fact my mood is what pushed me to the Dr. not for the mood but to see where the infection was.  Invariably my mood hits low when I have an infection or cold or something. Putting Ellie, my sweet dog ,down didn't help at all. Besides being borderline sick I'd lost my best friend! Last September I lost my first best friend, my husband and I'm not standing up straight from that just yet. I wish the dealer of bad circumstances would watch the timing a little more. Two great big losses in a year can be a hard pill to swallow!  The word about town is that if it don't kill ya, it makes ya stronger.!  This year I'm Hercules.

....more secret summer

Well my computer just shut itself down right in the middle of me working on my blog to do an "auto adjustment". Pretty cheeky, I'd say! I never invited my computer to do this!

Anywa, I had to start all over again....now where were we? Summer in Portland. These past weeks have been "keep it to yourself" beautiful, in fact, gorgeous days. Portlanders tend to walk around with their finger to their mouths saying "sh-h-h-h-, don't tell anyone else about Portland in summer!" I think the fear is more people will want to move here especially if they're suffering through 3 digit humid temperatures. Because of the job situation, or non-job I should say, Portlanders are all for everyone staying put and not arriving in Portland because of the beautiful weather. We don't have many jobs either, ya know!

Portland isn't always like this. I've melted through triple digits a few times in the seven years I've been here....might even this year yet. We've still got about 6 weeks to go so all we can do is hope it won't ramp up.

I wish I could put a picture in my blog but I don't dare because it will either be huge or teen-weeny like the one at the top of my blog! I'm workin' on it!
